| Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give we get an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation go further. This means , for example, that a donation of £10 can be turned into £12.80, just as long as donations are made through Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make; and it doesn't cost you a thing. Gift Aid rules To qualify for Gift Aid you must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that Age Concern Stafford & District will reclaim on your donations in the tax year (currently 28p for each £1 you give). You can cancel your declaration of Gift Aid at any time by notifying us. If your circumstances change in the future and you no longer pay tax on your income and capital gains equal to the tax that we reclaim, you can cancel the declaration. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your self-assessment tax return. If you are not sure whether your donations qualify for Gift Aid tax relief, ask your local tax office for leaflet IR113 Gift Aid. So if you want your donation to go further, please Gift Aid it by using the form you will find when you click on the Gift Aid logo above. |
